Reality of Child Labour: Watch Video
In the face of biting harsh economic conditions in Nigeria, Nigerians in their characteristic adaptive nature have devised means to mitigate its effect and prevent it in the future by equipping underage kids with manual labour skills.
With high unemployment rates, it is important and necessary for Nigerian youths to have other skills other than just formal education so as to become self employed rather than searching for jobs that are not available and when available not sufficient to pay bills.
I recently ran into a kid who was being trained in the art of making cement mortar for wall plastering and buildings in general. See video after cut.
